Yes. Our Omotesando store has many one-of-a-kind rings that you can see and try on. Some customers purchase a ring before traveling and collect it here; others find a ring after arriving in Tokyo. If your schedule is short, tell us your departure date when you contact us.

An engagement ring is chosen in connection with a promise to marry. Wedding rings are exchanged by the couple and are generally worn as part of married life. An engagement ring can still be worn after the wedding. The rings may be worn together or separately; there is no single arrangement that every couple needs to follow.

You can ask questions directly of someone who understands how the ring is designed and made. At ileava jewelry, Maya is both the designer and creator. The conversation can go beyond price, delivery dates, and ring size: we can explain how a setting works, how a stone behaves in different light, what can be adjusted, and what to consider for long-term wear. You do not need technical knowledge or a finished idea before you visit. You can compare actual rings, tell us what you respond to, and work from there.

A one-of-a-kind ring that is already made and does not need resizing is usually ready for pickup immediately. It can normally be prepared for shipment within three business days.

Normal resizing takes about one week. For travelers with limited time, we offer a three-business-day resizing service when the design allows it. If an item is not available at the store and needs to be made, please allow up to four weeks. Engraving normally adds approximately one week.

If possible, ask someone close to your partner, have a ring they already wear measured, or visit a jeweler together without making the reason obvious. Please do not rely on wrapping string around a sleeping finger; a ring must fit both the finger and the knuckle. If you are interested in a particular ring, send us the product link, any size information you have, your pickup date, and your departure date. We will explain what is possible for that ring.

If a ring is only slightly tight—usually about half of one Japanese ring size—we can often adjust it while you wait. Larger changes normally take about one week, or three business days for travelers with limited time when the design allows it.

Yes. Rings made in 18K gold or Pt900 can be resized by a reputable jeweler. This can be a practical choice when there is not enough time during your trip. One-of-a-kind silver rings with stones cannot be resized, and some designs may have other limitations, so please confirm the individual ring before purchasing.

We provide one complimentary resizing for an engagement ring or wedding ring. Making the ring smaller, or up to two Japanese sizes larger, is free. If it must be enlarged by more than two sizes, we charge only for the extra metal. Any later resizing costs ¥5,500, plus the cost of additional metal when needed. If another jeweler has already resized the ring, the regular resizing fee applies even if ileava jewelry has not resized it before. Customers are responsible for all shipping charges and any customs duties connected with an internationally shipped repair or resizing. Some countries apply customs charges even when jewelry is sent only for service.

No. There is no rule that an engagement ring must have a diamond. For a ring intended for frequent wear, diamonds and sapphires are strong candidates because of their durability. If you prefer another stone, we can discuss its properties, cut, inclusions, setting, and how you expect to wear the ring.
